The Serpentine Gallery is proud to present 4900 Colours, a major new work comprising brightly coloured squares randomly arranged in a grid formation. The 196 panels of 25 coloured squares can be re-configured in 11 variations ranging from one large scale painting, presented last year at Museum Ludwig, Cologne, to multiple, smaller paintings of varying sizes. The schemas for each of the variations are illustrated in this catalogue.
